 3.97 - 6.97 GHz YIG Synthesizer
The Teledyne Microwave FIA2198 is a miniaturized Frequency Synthesizer
which covers the frequency range 3.97 to 6.97 GHz in 1 MHz steps. The device incorporates
Teledyne's novel TinYIG™ miniature YIG Tuned Oscillator in a Fractional-N Synthesizer
system to provide excellent phase noise performance at all offsets from the carrier.
The Synthesizer is controlled using the industry standard SPI Bus and includes an
ARM 7 microprocessor to control the internal PLL and current source; the microprocessor
also controls a power leveling system to provide very flat power across the tuning
band. Custom options include higher frequency, wider bandwidth, increased output
power and smaller step sizes. more

YIG Oscillator
TheTeledyne Microwave’s TinYIG™ (Tiny YIG) oscillator
is a low power consuming, permanent magnet YIG-tuned oscillator and is the RF and
microwave industry’s smallest available device on the market. This tiny oscillator
is available in a industry-standard TO-8B, 12-pin package or a surface-mount package.
This new YTO will allow designers to replace as many as six voltage-controlled oscillators
(VCOs) in their RF and microwave designs. This new YIG oscillator provides low phase
noise performance of -125dBc/Hz at 100 KHz offset across the entire 3 to 8 GHz band.
